I have mixed feelings about this one. The main character (MC) is definitely not a good person. He’s smart and manipulative, essentially a scumbag. If you enjoy reading about a manipulative villain trying his best to survive, then I think this could be an enjoyable read. The plot points are fairly unique and entertaining.

I stopped reading because I couldn’t stand:
> How the MC would take someone else's gift and pass it off as his own. I also don’t understand how the harem would eventually work out, given that it should blow up in the MC's face due to all his lies.

I personally tend to read only high-quality works or masterpieces, such as "Isaac," "The Second Coming of Gluttony," or "Solo Leveling." While this particular book might not be considered a masterpiece, it is truly amazing, and I find myself on edge every day waiting for the next chapter. This book even led me to join the F5 sect, so please give it a try!

The MC is just an incel. All other characters, including the "Protagonist" and the female lead, are nothing more than one-dimensional figures with no depth or personality.

Every female character starts with a promising personality, but once the MC arrives, they become nothing more than stereotypical, brain-dead females, reminiscent of the worst Japanese dating games.

This story feels like an incel indulging in fantasies, staring at a screen while watching a typical e-girl streamer, masturbating and daydreaming about being the center of the universe, with a rich but unrealistic background that only serves to feed their narcissism.

Alright, I'll say this right now. This novel is a gem, and it's difficult to find a novel similar to this. I originally didn't want to write this review, but reading the first review (from Liyu) made me write this. Every other 2* or 3* review was understandable, and I can get where they are coming from.

Let's start with **"why and how you should read this?"**

This novel is perfect for you if you enjoy light-hearted harem stories, an emotionally overpowered main character (MC), and no-nonsense drama. Sometimes things happen too quickly, and you might wonder, "Is this realistically possible?" (especially regarding the romance). To answer that, **maybe, but not likely.** It is, after all, fiction. So, let's compare it with other novels. In terms of romance, it is undoubtedly better than any Quan Tang (QT) novels (I've read almost every popular one, so I know) and better than most urban fantasy/harem novels. When I say "better," I mean "more realistic." If you read this, you'll see that the MC truly knows how to court women and be a gentleman.

I don't really think you can call the MC a disgusting person just because he stopped being a simp. Regarding the first girl, I have absolutely no idea what this guy Liyu is trying to say. Don't be mistaken. The first girl **did** have a trauma, and the essence of it is that she hates men. As the story progresses, she starts to like the MC. Yes, he ignores her at first, but the idea that the trauma was exacerbated by the MC's neglect is some next-level nonsense. She uses the trauma as an excuse to get closer to the MC, in the sense that he is the only person she doesn't hate. So, get your facts straight.

Calling the story "sh*t" is one thing, but to call the author "disgusting" is beyond the pale. Consider the author of the most infamous novel, *My Guardian Angel* (MGA), and yet you couldn't call him "disgusting."

So, again. Read this if you like light-hearted Slice of Life (SoL) harem with a strong male lead.

This is a fantastic novel! Only 13 chapters have been translated so far, but the premise is truly engaging. The protagonist is not only competent but also proactive in addressing future challenges. The only downside is the extremely short chapters, which is exacerbated by the translator's tendency to split chapters in half and count them as separate entries.

I loved it but hated the chapters where the main character became a huge jerk to one of the heroines. What’s worse is that despite all the harassment and jerkiness, the main character’s favorability only increased. Like, what the hell is wrong with the author? It’s as if he was high while watching 20 humiliating adult videos as he wrote these chapters?

I just want to laugh at the reviews that say the MC is a villain and other nonsense. No doubt, the MC is a villain who likes to manipulate and fits the "scum MC" genre. Every negative review is right. I know most people don't read the genres and tags. But this is a great harem novel. It has a nice flow and its own unique charm that can attract a trash-taste reader like me.

Garbage. The protagonist of that world, Ye Feng, is acting like a scumbag. I’m waiting for Ye Feng to beat our main character, Lin Yuan, or something, but Lin Yuan always wins. What’s the point of having Ye Feng as the protagonist if, in the story, Lin Yuan is like a god? His system is so overpowered that he can be a god at anything he does. I hate him even more because he’s manipulative. I don’t expect him to be a good guy, but he changes too much. One second he’s a good guy, and the next second he’s acting like an ass. I hate the useless plot for not working. I thought this was worth reading, but no. Garbage.

This novel appears decent on the surface, but it fails on multiple levels. The sole redeeming feature is the interactions between the main character (MC) and the heroines, though even these fall short of being exceptional. Characters are too accepting; they readily believe the MC when he suddenly acquires a multitude of skills out of nowhere, such as progressing from 'Novice' to 'Martial Arts Master' in just a few hours, attributing it simply to 'talent.' The MC’s ease in obtaining everything and subsequently flaunting it feels unsatisfying.

Another significant issue is the lack of detail. Female characters are often described similarly, with only minor distinctions. The author fails to provide ages for the characters, and the story suffers from a lack of clarity due to insufficient details.

The biggest problem, however, is the poor writing. Transitions are weak, and some parts of the story are missing or disconnected. For instance, the author revised certain sections in a chapter, but subsequent chapters still reference content that was removed, leading to inconsistencies.

There’s much more to critique, but I’ll summarize the key points:

- **Decent schemes and psychological manipulation.**

- **Heroines with distinct personalities.**
- **Side characters lacking significance in the story.**
- **An overpowered/omniscient MC, with antagonists unable to pose any real threat.**

If you’ve read "I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain," you likely won’t enjoy this as much. "Gao Fushai" feels like a discounted version of that novel. My initial expectations were high, but the story didn’t live up to the 5-star reviews. , I’d rate this story between 2.5 and 3.5 stars, but I’ll be generous and give it 3.5/5. My advice: read it without expectations, and you might find it enjoyable. Don’t be like me.

This story began intriguingly but became incredibly dull as it progressed. I found the harem members in the novel thoroughly unlikable and felt they lacked depth, coming across more as objects to be won rather than fully realized characters.

My opinion is admittedly subjective, especially since it's been a while, but this novel is what really turned me off from harem stories. The mere thought of them fills me with dread, and I detest the concept.

I accidentally rated it a 2, but it should probably be a 3 or a 2.5. The story was initially enjoyable, but the protagonist’s treatment of a girl who seemed underage was deeply unsettling and made me feel uncomfortable.

I really like the premise of the novel, as most of these villain main character (MC) novels typically feature a female MC, which I enjoyed at first. However, after seeing it repeated dozens of times, I began to wonder why there weren't any similar novels with a male MC. So, the premise was something I was really looking forward to.

There were some issues, though. When I saw the harem tag, I was already a bit wary about how the novel would develop, especially since it's a more modern type of novel. Then, I noticed it’s a Chinese (CN) novel, and for those who don’t read many of these, you might know that most CN novels, especially those with a harem tag or no female MC, often have terrible objectification of women. I’ve been reading CN novels for a long time, so I can usually tolerate this as long as it’s not too overt in the writing. However, this novel started grading the female characters’ looks on a point system, which felt incredibly inappropriate and significantly lowered my opinion of the novel.

Aside from that, the novel is a fairly solid modern CN novel with a system, generic antagonist characters, and generic side characters. I would rate this novel around 3.7 or 3.8, but since those ratings don’t exist, I rounded it up to 4.

In conclusion, I think this novel is a good side read while waiting for your favorite novel to update, as long as you can handle some of the somewhat sexist content. But if you really care about avoiding that kind of writing in a novel, why would you consider a novel with a harem tag in the first place?
