Many people were all thinking similar thoughts. Most of which were the challenger summoning a real phoenix that obliterated the whole peerage. They all thought that's all he could do, but no. Once he sent it back all thought him an idiot, but after that little display of power of him killing a supposed immortal being, they all see him for the monster he truly is. Some looked on in hatred, anger, jealousy and envy, but that's just how most devils react to strong opponents especially those that aren't even above low class. It hurt most when he was an actual human as well. It hurt their pride and their egos.
