Story is decent, but the romance is horrible and the author can not write genuine female characters.

Personally, I think this book is awesome.

No it's not a "goat" like you say it is. I am not saying that the novel or the ideas or plot is bad no they are awesome I loved everything about that novel until mc's character got so unbearable thar I quit it at around 500.
The mc is the biggest hypocrite when other people kill for aether they are bad but when he does it, it is out of necessity plus many more bad points regarding his group.

It's probably a weird question but is this somewhat similar to the 'Primal hunter' ?

Yes and no. MC is thrust into a system-created world with primitive tools and magic powers and the MC has a connection to snakes. There might be others but those are the main two. With that being said, the plot is very different from Primal Hunter. In this story, people already knew about the world changing and planned for it, so much more of the story will be centered on Earth unlike PH which I am excited for.
