Yeah... After reading the first four chapters, I'd say it's supposed to be a humorous novel about a laid-back, overpowered Japanese protagonist who doesn't want to work in a magical alternate world. The concept could've been entertaining, but the main character turns out to be a spineless wimp constantly coerced into labor by a maid using threats and physical force, which makes him come across as a generic beta male. The plot follows a repetitive pattern: MC refuses to work, maid intimidates, he starts working, complains, gets whipped again, rinse and repeat. I understand it's meant to be a comedy, but personally, I struggle to connect with these one-dimensional overpowered yet weak protagonists. Each reader's taste may differ, so if you enjoy a主角 who's胆小如鼠, then it might be your cup of tea.
