Found a Man on the Famine Road, Our Pretend Marriage Became Real

Yang Yunxi, a modern woman who died in a supermarket explosion, transmigrates into the body of a refugee woman with the same name during a chaotic famine. The original Yang Yunxi had perished after falling off a cliff while fleeing cannibalistic refugees. The story follows their journey as they navigate the challenges of the ancient world, manage the refugee settlement, and deal with the implications of Nangong An’s restored rank and Yang Yunxi’s hidden spatial powers.

As they prepare to leave the settlement, Nangong An’s past begins to catch up with him. His subordinates urge him to return to the capital, but he is reluctant to leave Yang Yunxi behind. Yang Yunxi, aware of his true identity and the political dangers he faces, struggles with her feelings for him while maintaining her independence. The narrative explores their evolving relationship, the integration of modern knowledge into ancient society, and the couple's efforts to survive and thrive amidst political turmoil and natural disasters. Yang Yunxi continues to use her supermarket space to support their travels and the settlement, while Nangong An protects her and gradually accepts his fate alongside her.
