Lu Yunxiang lived a tragic life defined by the systematic exploitation of her cousin, Yang Qingxue. From childhood, Yang Qingxue manipulated Lu Yunxiang’s resources, stealing her job, her university admission, and ultimately her husband. Yang Qingxue concealed her affair with Lu Yunxiang’s husband while maintaining a virtuous public image, leaving Lu Yunxiang isolated and destitute. After enduring years of abuse and being sent to the countryside where she lost her fertility, Lu Yunxiang died of a heart attack upon discovering the full extent of the betrayal. She then awakened back in time to the year 1977, at the precise moment Yang Qingxue attempted to steal her newly acquired factory job to give it to another cousin, Yang Lili.

Unlike her past self, the reborn Lu Yunxiang refused to accept the moral blackmail that had shackled her for decades. When Yang Qingxue demanded she surrender her position, Lu Yunxiang physically assaulted her, exposing the hypocrisy that had ruined her life. This confrontation marked the beginning of her transformation. Shortly after, she encountered a supernatural Merit System that rewarded her for protecting national secrets. She used a gift item, the Diamond Invincible Body, to defeat two spies who were attacking a regiment commander, Ji Mingjing. This act not only earned her substantial merit points but also connected her to Ji Mingjing, who was sent by her father to take her to Beijing.

Lu Yunxiang’s primary conflict centered on reclaiming her agency and dismantling the web of deceit woven by her relatives and her former fiancé, Su Wenyuan. Su Wenyuan, the deputy director of the clothing factory, had colluded with Yang Qingxue to strip Lu Yunxiang of her livelihood. In her previous life, she had yielded to his threats, but this time she confronted him directly. She revealed that she had sold her job to Zhou Shuang, the second-place exam scorer, for five hundred yuan. This decision not only secured her financial independence but also altered the fates of those around her, earning her additional merit points for preventing future tragedies associated with Zhou Shuang’s original path.

The narrative further explores Lu Yunxiang’s complex family dynamics. Her stepfather, Zhang Qing, and step-sister, Zhang Lin, had long treated her as an outsider, forcing her to sleep on the balcony while favoring their own children. Lu Yunxiang turned the tables by asserting her rights to her father’s substantial child support payments and her own living space. She exposed the financial lies her mother, Chen Chunping, had maintained, forcing her mother to hand over withheld funds. By reclaiming her bedroom and threatening to cut off financial support, Lu Yunxiang destabilized the power structure of her blended family, forcing them to submit to her demands.

A critical turning point involved the revelation of a conspiracy against Lu Yunxiang’s father, Lu Ziqian. Su Wenyuan’s aunt, Gao Cuihong, had previously manipulated Lu Ziqian into conducting dangerous experiments under false pretenses, leading to his death in the original timeline. Lu Yunxiang discovered this plot while processing her travel documents and recognized Gao Cuihong’s attempt to delay her departure. By identifying the malicious intent, Lu Yunxiang positioned herself to prevent the accident that had killed her father, thereby saving his life and severing the influence of the Su family.

The story direction shifts toward Lu Yunxiang’s ascent in a new era. With the Merit System providing access to high-quality food and resources, she begins to rebuild her life with the culinary expertise she possessed in her previous life. Her relationship with Ji Mingjing develops as she assists in his recovery, leveraging the system’s healing properties. Simultaneously, she navigates the social and political landscape of the late 1970s, using her foreknowledge and newfound resources to outmaneuver her enemies. The narrative follows her journey from a victim of familial and romantic betrayal to a powerful figure who controls her own destiny, protecting her father and ensuring that those who wronged her face the consequences of their actions.

*More than 300 chaps review*Honestly I am having a hard time expressing how good the Author has done with this story. Even more impressive is that he has done a phenomenal job maintaining Consistency of the plot through everything that he has going on through the worlds he weaves. Intensity, Mystery, Background Information, and Timing are just a few of the best aspects that this story carries. I got sucked into this story so hard that I binged everything that was out in less than a week, even now I want more. I crave the "what's next". Author I thank you for giving me such a story to latch on to.

Right so I hate this novel. I don't know how it got picked here or how it was chosen but I hated reading this.  You see I have an instinct in reading, when it' a good one i won't notice the hours go by and am usually absorbed in reading but when i read this it was like a chore. Some novels that are stretched too long usually gives me that feeling but this damn novel gave me that feeling and iv'e only read 40 chapters of this s#it. I have some controversial opinions like not liking the books made by IET, i mean they're refreshing the first maybe hundred chapters but by the 800's is goddamn exhausting to read and this piece of S#it gave that feeling just after 40 F#cking chapters! In F#cking conclusion i hope this novel burns in hell and i don't recommend this S#it at all! Thank you for reading my S#it review of my goddamn honest opinion. See ya.

Another week of trash trial novels. Guys do yourself a favor. If you're a fan of pet novels check out Museum of Deadly Beasts, the beginning is super cliche but the novel gets awesome later on (middle to late parts are amazing) and is much more original than 99% of the novels here. That's my recommendation for you pet novel lovers.

This is the author again (shameless 5 star but pls forgive me)Announcement:1. Thank you for the support. This work will be going premium around Aug 2019 (tentative) so please stock up on SS.2. With the chapters getting heavier, please let me know if you're keen to join the Truen army (proofreaders & editors). This role is completely voluntary but I expect serious commitment. This is to relieve some load of Ash my current proofreader who has been doing a darn good job or making it readable. Please thank him for catching all the awful errors BTS before we go live.3. There was some major rescheduling because I realised how blind I was. We are already very much into the second season but I did not separate the chapters accordingly. The mass update of chapters and spam notifications have caused readers to unsubscribe. I sincerely apologise for that on my end. It should not happen again in future, it's fixed now.4. We have both the official fan club discord and my personal discord that I sometimes ask for opinions and updates. If you love this book, please show your support by joining either of them.Rebel Army Discord Server: https://discord.gg/UrtDMXnZero Chan Cult Discord Server: https://discord.gg/RuvtKXx5. I have a character profile google docs (refer to author announcement chapter). However, it is poorly maintained. If you see something that has been missed out, please highlight it to me, thank you!Lastly, I just want to let my readers know that the success of my writing dream would not be possible without you. I cannot express how thankful I am. Every comment, like, gift and subscription means a lot to me.

Not bad, world building is pretty solid. There are some commenters insisting on spoon-feeding. They lack the capability of just a bit of critical thinking. Overall something a bit different and very welcome.
