Fleeing Famine and Farming: Thank Goodness I Have a Portable Supermarket

Ye Mingqin and Ye Lou, siblings from modern times, are transmigrated into the bodies of two starving refugee children during a famine in ancient China. They awaken in a forest to find themselves targeted by thugs who intend to eat them. Ye Lou, whose original body was that of a fitness instructor, fights off the attackers using a wine bottle as a weapon, while Ye Mingqin, formerly a doctor, assesses their new situation. Granny Wang, an elderly woman who had previously been bitter and isolated, also joins them out of gratitude. Ye Mingqin uses her medical knowledge and modern supplies from her space to treat the group’s injuries and illnesses, further solidifying her role as a caregiver and leader. The group travels toward a town, where they secure an abandoned courtyard to use as a base. As they prepare to move on, the group is ambushed by wolves while seeking shelter in a cave. They manage to wound the wolf king, causing the pack to retreat. The siblings decide to keep the orphaned wolf cub, naming it and integrating it into their group. After the encounter, they bury the dead wolves and continue their journey, eventually deciding to settle in a nearby basin rather than risking the chaos of the imperial capital.
