Pu Xin is a dandelion alien who awakens from a long slumber to discover her seeds have vanished. She ventures into human territory to search for them but is captured by a black-market auction ring operating in an underground facility. Confined in a metal cage alongside other humanoid species, she senses her seeds drawing nearer despite the grim conditions. The facility is raided by the Federal Security Bureau, but the ensuing chaos allows a violent purple mandrake to break free and attack the guards. Pu Xin is selected for transfer, only to be rescued by Lu Xunzhi, a military major with emerald green eyes identical to hers. He cuts her free, and she immediately recognizes him as her missing seed, now grown into a human form.

Lu Xunzhi is initially hostile and dismissive, viewing Pu Xin as a burden and a dangerous alien species. He attempts to leave her behind, but she stubbornly follows him, calling him "Zhizhi" and insisting she is his mother. Their dynamic shifts when the purple mandrake attacks the FSB team. Pu Xin approaches the violent creature and calms it with a gentle touch, shrinking it to a manageable size. Marshal Lu Bieling is a stern, revered figure who had raised Lu Xunzhi alone after finding him as a child on a battlefield. He is initially suspicious of Pu Xin but accepts her presence after confirming her identity. The family is complicated by Lu Jinyu, Lu Xunzhi’s aunt, who resents his mixed heritage and has arranged a political fiancée for him. Tensions rise when a demi-human disguised as a socialite infiltrates the estate, using Devil Flower saliva to maintain her beauty. Pu Xin detects the alien scent and exposes the woman, whose true form is revealed as a monstrous plant creature. The demi-human attacks, but Pu Xin defeats her with ease, further cementing her role as a protector.

As Pu Xin settles into life with the Lu family, she displays childlike curiosity about human customs, such as soaking her feet in water and wearing shoes. Lu Xunzhi gradually softens, caring for her and shielding her from the political machinations of his family. The narrative explores the evolving bond between mother and son, as well as the broader societal conflict between humans and aliens. Pu Xin’s unique ability to calm violent species positions her as a key figure in the Federation’s future, while Lu Xunzhi navigates his dual identity as a military leader and a mixed-blood individual.
