Entangled Springtime

Mo Lingzheng, a modern woman from Sichuan, transmigrates into the body of a noble daughter in the Tianfeng Kingdom. She awakens in a hot spring, having fallen from a cliff to escape two men hired by her cousin, Mo Si'an, who drugged her with an aphrodisiac. In the spring, she encounters a naked man, Prince Anren, and, driven by the drug's effects, forces herself upon him. The man does not resist, and she flees before he regains consciousness. Meanwhile, Prince Anren, whose body is cursed to remain that of a five-year-old child due to severe internal injuries, is furious that his purity was taken. He discovers a token from the Weiyuan General's Manor and orders his subordinates, Chang Jiu and Chang Qi, to find the woman responsible.

Mo Lingzheng returns to the Weiyuan General's Manor, where she is immediately confronted by her grandmother, Yu Shi, her aunt, Qin Wanxiu, and Mo Si'an. The relatives have usurped control of the household and mistreated her for three years while her father was away at war. They accuse her of infidelity and demand a chastity examination to prove her innocence. Just as they are about to force the examination, Chang Jiu and Chang Qi arrive with Prince Anren's decree. They claim the Prince rescued Mo Lingzheng and order her to take care of his "son," Yan Si, who is actually the Prince in his child form. Mo Lingzheng is shocked to discover that the boy is the same man she encountered in the hot spring.

Yan Si declares Mo Lingzheng his servant and demands she perform "Qi regulation" on him daily to restore his original form. In return, he provides her with gold and two maids, Da Niu and Er Niu. Mo Lingzheng, now armed with her modern temperament and the original owner's martial arts skills, begins to reclaim her life. She violently disciplines the household staff who betrayed her, selling seventy-two servants to a human trafficking agency and beating her abusive relatives. She also confronts her fiancé, Zhou Rongkai, the heir of the Pingnan Marquisate, who has been cheating on her with Mo Si'an. She physically overpowers him and declares the engagement broken, though Zhou Rongkai's parents later force him to apologize and maintain the alliance for political gain.

Yan Si pressures Mo Lingzheng to break off the engagement within three days, threatening her life. Mo Lingzheng agrees but plans to ruin Zhou Rongkai and Mo Si'an's reputations first. She navigates the treacherous politics of the capital, dealing with the scheming Yu Shi and Qin Wanxiu, who plot to undermine her. The story follows her struggle to protect herself and the child Prince while uncovering the mysteries behind his curse and the political conspiracies involving the Seventh Prince and the Marquis of Pingnan. As she grows stronger, her relationship with Yan Si evolves from hostility to a complex alliance, setting the stage for further conflicts in the imperial court.
