Hunter Tamaniel was a simple student with a somewhat ordinary life. A poor family that survived day-to-day earning minimal wages in an overpopulated society on the brink of extinction, a painful student life rife with constant harassment and the disdain of his peers, and a dying social circle with barely any companions he could call 'friends.'
Even with all that was wrong in his life, Hunter refused to give up, for he had his family supporting him and a long life waiting for him to turn around his circumstances. He worked hard, studied as if his life depended on it, and did everything in his power to make ends meet for his family and himself. However, Hunter's luck was simply the worst. No matter what he did, his family's conditions continued to worsen, and when his father died Hunter was sure that he was the unluckiest man in the world.
The period following his father's untimely demise took something from Hunter, his smile, his hope, and the small boat of positivity that kept him afloat even amid the harshest storms. He continued to toil away to keep his remaining family alive, but the desolation of it all took its toll on him, crushed him slowly, and ground away at his will to live.
Then one day, a light engulfed Hunter, and he found himself standing in a white space.
