Emptying Out the Scumbag Father's Mansion, With Space in Hand I Fear Nothing

Gu Qingqing, a researcher from a post-apocalyptic future, transmigrates into the body of a tragic supporting female character in a novel. The original Gu Qingqing was adopted by the wealthy Gu merchant family but suffered a decade of abuse, ultimately being tortured and killed by her foster sister Gu Xiner. Upon awakening, Gu Qingqing finds herself being strangled by Gu Xiner beside a pool. Utilizing her spatial laboratory that accompanied her transmigration, she consumes a Strength Pill, overpowers Gu Xiner, and drowns her in the water. She then proceeds to systematically eliminate the Gu family members who abused the original host, including Gu Hejun and Madam Zhang, while stealing the family's accumulated wealth.

As Gu Qingqing flees the Gu residence, she is ambushed by assassins in black. She is rescued by Wei Jiwu, the Ninth Prince exiled to Jizhou, known as the Lonely Star of Calamity. Wei Jiwu discovers that Gu Qingqing is the woman who saved him three nights prior during a critical moment when he was poisoned by a Lovesickness Gu. This poison binds their lives together; if not dispelled within three months, both will die. The only known cure requires consummation, a fact Wei Jiwu uses to compel Gu Qingqing to stay by his side disguised as a man.

Gu Qingqing, aware of the political dangers and the assassins still hunting them, agrees to stay under the condition that she maintains her autonomy. She begins researching the Gu poison using Wei Jiwu's blood, treating him as a subject rather than a master. Their relationship is marked by constant tension and power struggles; Gu Qingqing retaliates against Wei Jiwu's attempts to control her, such as when he seals her acupoints, by using various drugs from her space, including an itching powder that leaves him humiliated.

The plot thickens with the arrival of Murong Chaoruo, the Grand Princess and Wei Jiwu's grandmother, who is also the reborn female lead of the novel. She suspects Gu Qingqing's true identity but keeps the secret. Meanwhile, Wei Jiwu's cousins, Wei Ziyi and Wei Zishan, along with Yao Xiangxue, who harbors feelings for Wei Jiwu, view Gu Qingqing as a threat and repeatedly attempt to harm her. Gu Qingqing outmaneuvers them using her knowledge of poisons and her spatial abilities.

As the capital faces political upheaval with the Emperor falling ill, Wei Jiwu's position becomes increasingly precarious. Gu Qingqing continues to balance her desire for freedom with the necessity of staying close to Wei Jiwu to survive and find a permanent cure for the Gu poison. The story sets the stage for a complex dynamic between the two protagonists as they navigate court intrigue, assassination attempts, and the lingering threats from the original novel's plot, all while Gu Qingqing works to rewrite her fate and protect those she cares about, like Granny Chang, the only kind figure from the original host's life.
