The story begins when a new Secret Realm emerges, trapping disciples from various sects inside. Qin Miaoyan, disguised as a low-ranking elder in the Immortal Alliance, attends the emergency meeting with indifference. However, upon viewing an image-recording jade, she spots a young man bound by parasitic vines. His appearance triggers a visceral reaction, reminding her vividly of Li Xi, a palace guard she loved centuries ago before he died saving her. Driven by a sudden, intense curiosity and a long-dormant emotional response, Qin Miaoyan reveals her true identity as the Valley Master and rushes into the Secret Realm to rescue him.

Inside the realm, Qin Miaoyan observes Li Fuguang, the young man in question. She notes his strength and resilience despite his injuries but decides to manipulate the situation rather than intervene immediately. She uses puppet silk to subtly control the demon vines, allowing the disciples to believe they are winning before the vines overwhelm them. Just as Li Fuguang is about to fall into a dark abyss, she descends dramatically, saving him in a display of overwhelming power. She stores him in a pocket dimension and returns to her valley, Avici Land, to recover.

Li Fuguang wakes up in Qin Miaoyan’s private chambers. He is a nineteen-year-old cultivator with a pure Wood Spirit Root, possessing a naive and simple-minded personality.
