Lin Qingtang, a wealthy modern woman, transmigrates into the body of a villainess in a 1980s novel after fainting during a childbirth simulator game. The original character, also named Lin Qingtang, was a cruel stepmother who abused her husband's two children, Jiang Xiaoyan and Tianbao, the orphans of martyrs. Driven by jealousy of the novel's heroine, the original Lin Qingtang had mistreated the children, sent their father's provisions to her natal family, and ultimately faced divorce and ruin.
