The Main Character Is really stupid and unaware of anything that surrounds him, first and most important is his decision not to kill, I would be fine with it if this were a different setting/genre yet his only family is murdered, he literally dies, goes to the military, and yet he feels as if his morals are anything but stupid, I'm not trying to trash on the author and I respect your decision but if you're looking for a novel where someone is able to integrate with his new life don't read this, I couldn't continue reading when in the arena he states he won't kill unless someone tries seriously to kill him yet he refused to kill a guy that literally tried to set him on fire. I think the author is trying to make him look cool by making him seem decisive and cruel yet it loses any interest I could have in it when his morals are anything but what anyone smart would do, firstly he doesn't kill but had his family murdered and extorted, secondly he get's a teacher for his system but he ignores it almost religiously, causing him punishments that he thinks are unfair yet whenever the system tries to get him to learn something or be better at something he blows it off until there's either a reward or a punishment. The thought that he's smart is utterly far-fetched and completely abstract, I really can't see what people like about him, he's brainless and childish, narrow minded and lazy, so far the only person who I respect is the guy he didn't kill because he seems to be the only one who isn't brainless and downright delusional. No offense but this is not something to read if you're looking for
