Cultivator Villain Travels to the 70s, Tough Young Man with Great Endurance

Jiang Manman, a cultivator who had reached the peak of the Golden Core stage in the World of Cultivation, finds herself abruptly transported back to Earth in 1979. She awakens in the body of a young widow named Jiang Manman, who is living in a rural village on Wutong Mountain with three-year-old twin children, Tang Yuan and Tang Xin. The original host had been attacked and killed by a local man named Wang Laicai after refusing his marriage proposal. Mistaking the attacker for a demonic illusion during her tribulation, Jiang Manman kills him in self-defense. She soon discovers that her magical artifacts, including the Refreshing Heart Glass Tower and its artifact spirit Hu Hu, have accompanied her. The tower contains multiple dimensions, including a Spirit Spring for healing and cultivation, and a minor world on the seventh floor. With spiritual energy nearly nonexistent in this era, Jiang Manman must adapt her cultivation methods while protecting her new children.

Her primary conflict arises from the local villagers, particularly the Wang family and her own sister-in-law, who attempt to force her into a marriage with Wang Laicai’s mother’s other son. Jiang Manman refuses, leading to escalating tensions. She moves out of her family home into an abandoned house at the west end of the village, which has a troubled history. There, she begins to establish a secure environment for herself and the twins. She discovers that the twins possess excellent spiritual aptitudes—Tang Yuan has a Single Fire Spiritual Root and Tang Xin has a Single Wood Spiritual Root. Recognizing their potential, she decides to teach them cultivation techniques from a young age, using the Spirit Spring to help them absorb Qi and heal their bodies.

A key turning point occurs when a jackal spirit, having eaten the real Wang Laicai, assumes his identity and attempts to lure Jiang Manman into a trap. Jiang Manman detects the demon’s aura and confronts it, ultimately killing the spirit and exposing the truth to the Wang family. This incident severs her ties with her abusive sister-in-law and brother, who had conspired with the Wangs. She formally cuts off relations with her adoptive family, declaring that she owes them nothing despite years of support. The jackal spirit’s demise also resolves the immediate threat of forced marriage, allowing Jiang Manman to live independently.

Another significant development involves the arrival of Tang Yumin, an Educated Youth and the nephew of Jiang Manman’s legal husband, Tang Changsheng. Tang Yumin reveals that his uncle broke his legs and has been unable to travel, despite sending multiple letters that never reached Jiang Manman due to interference. Tang Yumin provides financial support and supplies, helping Jiang Manman settle into her new home. Soon after, Tang Changsheng himself arrives in a wheelchair, seeking to reunite with his wife and children. Jiang Manman faces the dilemma of how to handle her marital status. While she intends to divorce Tang Changsheng to maintain her independence and focus on cultivation, she also recognizes the children’s desire for a father figure. The story concludes with Jiang Manman navigating these complex family dynamics while continuing her cultivation journey in a low-spiritual-energy environment, using her artifacts to protect and raise the twins.
