This is my second read of this book.  I  appreciate it more the second time around. After reading several of Lockness's books I have concluded that Lockness is a  talented writer and I am anxious to read more of her works.

SAVE YOUR $. It starts strong. But, the author decides that a badass female must be severely tortured, then abandoned by her family and mate, making her self-destructive, then stripping of her voice, her strength, her sight, her wolf and any joys or existence outside of having male babies. Weak.
