Building an Underground Shelter in the Apocalypse

Tang Ye was a survivor in a post-apocalyptic world where the atmosphere is toxic and mutated creatures roam the surface. She had relied on her boyfriend Wang Qiang and best friend Zou Yu for protection, believing them to be her only family. During a supply run, the two betrayed her, stealing her gas mask and shooting her in the leg, leaving her to die among poisonous insects. Tang Ye recruited her first survivors, twin sisters Jiang Qing and Jiang Hong, who were amazed by the shelter's conditions and low costs compared to other settlements.

As the shelter grew, Tang Ye encountered a group of thirteen survivors led by Su Rui, who were fleeing zombies. She allowed them to stay for one night, providing food and clean rooms. The experience was so transformative that the group planned to return with their entire community. Tang Ye used the mutated crystals earned from them to expand the shelter, building additional dormitories, a laboratory, and a laundry room. She also began producing gas masks and radiation-protective suits to support future residents.

One day, Tang Ye found a white-haired man named Jiang Yufeng collapsing in the grass. He had a high fever and unstable energy, unlike any normal survivor. She brought him to the shelter and isolated him in a dormitory room. Jiang Yufeng woke up and revealed he wanted to join the shelter, offering a high-level mutated crystal in exchange for exclusive use of a room. Tang Ye accepted his payment and registered him, noting his unusual energy signature for further monitoring.

Soon after, a large group of thirty-eight survivors led by Zheng An arrived, seeking refuge after their previous shelter was overrun. Tang Ye accepted them, expanding the dormitory capacity to accommodate the influx. The shelter's population grew rapidly, and Tang Ye continued to invest in facilities, including a cafeteria and medical room on a new basement level. She also upgraded the power and water purification systems to handle the increased demand.

Meanwhile, Su Rui returned to his original shelter and found that the leadership had changed. The new administrator, Tang Ming, had raised rent prices significantly and reduced food rations. Su Rui led a group of over a hundred survivors in leaving their shelter, planning to join Sunrise Shelter. The story concludes with Tang Ye managing the growing population and preparing for the arrival of these new residents, while maintaining her focus on survival and the eventual confrontation with her betrayers.
