Su Ning is a former medical professional who spent five years in prison for a negligent medical accident that resulted in the deaths of Li Boyan’s wife and unborn child. Upon her release, she discovers her grandmother has gone missing, held hostage by Li Boyan, a powerful and cold-hearted man in Jiang City. While Su Ning endures the physical toll of drinking high-proof alcohol to secure the money, Li Boyan discovers that Nian Nian has gone missing from the hospital. Furious and terrified, Li Boyan launches a massive search effort, threatening the hospital staff with severe consequences if they do not find the child. The story concludes with Su Ning unaware of the crisis, continuing to drink in the club, while Li Boyan’s rage intensifies as he searches for his daughter and his new wife.
