Nah, technically, Lord Xue Ying has a proper end. But, the author did introduce new stuff at the end which leaves a distant taste. Simply put, there were still plots left untouched
There is another novel of the author call Desolate era that was very interesting it even have 1400 chapters but dosent have end at all it finish in the Middle of a battle.
Edit: Because of writing this comentary I returned to Desolate Era and discover that after the message of the author it have more chapters jajaj
