Apocalyptic Disaster: Stockpile Supplies for Free and Make a Comeback

Song Jinhe, a twenty-year-old woman, awakens in a parallel world hospital corridor during a violent storm. Outside, zombies attack survivors, and she realizes she has been reborn after dying in her previous life. In that past timeline, she was weak, betrayed by her companions, and ultimately killed in the third year of the apocalypse. This time, she retains her memories and a spatial ability linked to a jade bracelet, which now exists as a mental warehouse. Despite a painful ankle injury, she fights for survival, hiding in a filing cabinet to evade zombies while assessing her new reality. The world is plagued by extreme weather and biological mutations, with ordinary zombies being just the first stage of catastrophe.

After escaping the cabinet, Song Jinhe encounters her former roommates, Zhang Ping, Deng Miao, and Cai Zheng. They beg for help, but she refuses, remembering their past betrayal and cowardice. She proceeds to the medication room, gathering medical supplies and water, then heads to the pharmacy. There, she encounters a group of survivors led by Dr. Cheng Yan, who had locked a door earlier, inadvertently trapping her from zombies. After a tense standoff, she enters their group. Shen Wu, a greedy survivor in the group, plots to kill Cheng Yan to seize control. Song Jinhe prepares Molotov cocktails to help them escape the hospital. During the escape, Zhang Ping is bitten by a zombie, and Deng Miao is also attacked. Song Jinhe ignores their pleas and drives away, running over zombies with her car.

As they flee, Shen Wu attempts to assassinate Song Jinhe with a knife, but she counters him with a crowbar, beating him until he is incapacitated. The group leaves Shen Wu to be devoured by zombies. They drive to a nearby shopping mall, seeking refuge in a bath center on the eighth floor. Inside, they meet other survivors, including the manipulative Yang Minghao and the aggressive Wu Dayong. Song Jinhe asserts dominance by threatening Wu Dayong with her crowbar, silencing his hostility. She and her companions, Cheng Yan, Zhang Yi, and Peng Zhixue, secure private rooms and begin organizing their extensive supplies, which include food, clothing, and tools scavenged from the mall.

The weather deteriorates further, with temperatures dropping sharply. Song Jinhe ventures out with Cheng Yan and Zhang Yi to scavenge more supplies, deliberately seeking out zombies to test if killing them expands her spatial capacity. She discovers that killing zombies, especially stronger variants, does indeed increase the size of her space. During one encounter, they face a Special Zombie with high agility that can open doors. The creature attacks them in their temporary office, but Song Jinhe manages to kill it by using the storm's wind and the broken window to her advantage. The victory significantly expands her space, allowing her to store more essential goods like cooking oil, rice, and winter clothing.

Back at the bath center, tensions rise among the survivors. Some demand food from Song Jinhe’s group, accusing them of hoarding while others suffer. Song Jinhe refuses to share freely, trading an inhaler for dried noodles when a child suffers from asthma. She remains cold and pragmatic, aware that weakness invites exploitation. Yang Minghao attempts to gather information about their resources and plans, hoping to manipulate them later. Song Jinhe senses the danger and keeps her true capabilities and intentions hidden. She plans to leave the city once the floodwaters recede, aiming to establish a secure base away from the chaotic urban centers. The story follows her methodical preparation, resource accumulation, and navigation of hostile human dynamics as she rebuilds her life in a dying world.
