In April 2036, the first year of the apocalypse, humanity flees collapsing cities back to the countryside as zombies and mutated creatures overrun civilization. Lin Shuangshuang, a woman suffering from severe memory loss that resets every seven seconds, wanders alone through the chaos. Despite her condition, she displays extraordinary combat abilities, killing a group of thugs who attempt to assault her and dispatching zombies with lethal efficiency. Her memory loss is not natural—it stems from her being a humanoid weapon fused with jellyfish DNA, carrying the XD-0 gene that causes her pollution level to reach critical 95%.

Huo Ling, a late second-tier psychic ability user and team captain, rescues Lin Shuangshuang during the earthquake and brings her to his mobile fortress—a mechanized survival base in the suburbs. He is initially cold and suspicious, believing her amnesia may be feigned after she disappeared without explanation six years ago following an abrupt breakup.
