Apocalypse: The Delicate Little Beauty is the Big Shot’s Cherished Darling

Shen Suian and Xie Yubai are childhood sweethearts who share a deep, lifelong bond. After Xie Yubai tricks her into a marriage certificate, Shen Suian experiences a vivid dream that reveals a tragic future. In the vision, she dies in a car accident shortly after their wedding, leaving Xie Yubai devastated. He descends into a life of self-destruction, becoming a hardened operative in a post-apocalyptic world plagued by monsters. The dream also introduces a mysterious system and other characters who attempt to replace Shen Suian as the female lead, but Xie Yubai’s grief and loyalty prevent him from accepting anyone else. Upon waking, Shen Suian realizes the dream was a premonition of a fixed timeline and resolves to change her fate.

Shen Suian shares her vision with Xie Yubai, and they begin preparing for the impending disaster. Their preparations are interrupted when a mysterious messenger, claiming to be from the future, warns Shen Suian to avoid Sunshine Road on November 1st. Simultaneously, Xie Yubai receives a similar warning from a shadowy figure who appears to be his future self. Shen Suian also encounters Song Yuanxing, a junior who delivers the warning, and adds him to her contacts, suspecting he may play a role in the future.

On November 1st, Shen Suian’s fate unfolds exactly as predicted. Despite Xie Yubai’s desperate attempts to protect her, she is struck by a vehicle on Sunshine Road. Her consciousness enters a liminal space where she confronts Tuntun, the Main System of the world. Tuntun reveals that Shen Suian is the original female lead, destined to die to motivate the male lead’s character arc. However, Xie Yubai’s refusal to move on has caused repeated failures in previous timelines. Tuntun offers Shen Suian a chance to return to life with superpowers, but only if she can succeed in changing the predetermined outcome.
