Apocalypse: She Dominates in the Survival Game

Tang Yun is a dedicated architectural designer in R City who suffers from severe insomnia and faces mounting professional pressure as the New Year approaches. Her routine is shattered when she witnesses news reports of dismemberment murders and violent, flesh-tearing incidents across the city. Seeking medical help for her condition, she visits a traditional Chinese medicine hospital where she unexpectedly reunites with Lu Chuan, a former high school classmate who is now an attending physician. Their reunion is cut short when a catastrophic zombie outbreak erupts within the hospital. Tang Yun and Lu Chuan manage to escape the chaos by climbing out of a window and fleeing in his car, navigating through streets filled with wrecked vehicles and bloodthirsty infected.

During their escape, Tang Yun’s phone is hijacked by an unknown application that forces itself onto her device. A system voice announces that she has been selected as Player E01 in a global apocalypse survival game. She is given a strict deadline: reach Shelter No. 3 in City A within thirty days, or face permanent death. Recognizing the lethal reality of their situation, Tang Yun and Lu Chuan form a pragmatic alliance. Both share a common destination—G Town, where their respective families reside—and agree to cooperate for mutual survival. They stop at Lu Chuan’s apartment to gather essential supplies, where Tang Yun discovers she possesses a unique advantage. By activating a strange flashlight, she binds a spatial artifact to her person, granting her a one-cubic-meter inventory space capable of storing supplies indefinitely.

The journey to G Town is fraught with danger. Tang Yun and Lu Chuan scavenge for food and weapons in abandoned malls, where they encounter hostile survivors attempting to rob them. Tang Yun uses her wits to lure the attackers into a warehouse infested with zombies, allowing the undead to eliminate the threat. As they travel south, they face increasingly aggressive zombies and treacherous human factions. At one point, they are ambushed by three stalkers who have been tracking them since R City. Lu Chuan, utilizing his medical knowledge and silver acupuncture needles, interrogates the captives and reveals that these individuals are also players in the survival game, tasked with eliminating Tang Yun to clear their own levels.

Upon reaching G Town, they discover that the local high school has been converted into a fortified protection station by the school principal. However, the station is a tyrannical regime where infected individuals are burned alive. Lu Chuan learns with grief that his parents were among the infected and were killed by the station’s leadership. Meanwhile, Tang Yun returns to her residential complex to find her parents deceased, their ashes buried by a neighborhood volunteer team. She encounters Wang Zhan, a childhood acquaintance her mother had intended to set her up with, but she rejects his advances and continues her journey with Lu Chuan.

As they approach City A, the hostility from other players intensifies. Tang Yun is attacked by two men wielding knives, but during the fight, she accidentally kills one and absorbs his supernatural ability, "Blood Pupil," which grants her enhanced vision. Shortly after, they are pursued by armed shooters who manage to damage their vehicle. Lu Chuan sets an ambush, using the fact that the trackers only locate Tang Yun to his advantage, and they defeat the attackers. However, their progress is halted when they drive into a mysterious red ring-shaped barrier that traps fifty-six survivors. The barrier is a supernatural obstacle that kills anyone who drinks the toxic water inside it, forcing Tang Yun and Lu Chuan to wait for a solution while dealing with the growing tension and resource scarcity among the trapped survivors.

Inside the ring, the social order begins to collapse. Desperate survivors form factions, with a charismatic leader named Fang Lan recruiting members under the guise of unity. Tang Yun and Lu Chuan remain cautious, hiding their superior supplies and abilities. With only twenty days remaining on the game timer, the pressure mounts. The red barrier begins to fade, suggesting an escape might be imminent, but the internal conflicts among the survivors threaten to derail their plans. Tang Yun must navigate the treacherous politics of the trapped group while protecting her secret and ensuring she reaches the shelter before time runs out.
