Only to blink as a flash of steel and the sound of a blade cutting though air and flesh echoed in front of him.

A great read with excellent character and world building, story progression is a bit slow at the moment but I understand it's due to setting up for future events. Over all a solid start and I can't wait to see how it progresses.
