As they fight to stop him, they face dangerous foes, like Kieran the alpha’s diabolical lieutenant and shockingly Marie, Alice’s best friend, now loyal to the alpha. The biggest betrayal comes from, Tristan’s mentor, revealed to have planned his parents’ deaths through a deal with the alpha. In the final battle, Alice is tempted to join the alpha, but chooses to stand with Tristan, helping him defeat the alpha. With the rogue dead and Boderick exposed, both Tristan and Alice must face uncertain futures. Tristan as a hunter, and Alice as a werewolf struggling to choose between her humanity and her new nature.
