In a heartfelt conversation, he said, "Claire, I can't force you to pick between us. It won't be you, I'm afraid." My breath caught, my chocolate-brown eyes widened as I gazed into his piercing blue gaze, and a soft sob escaped. My heart raced, overwhelmed by the reality – five long years had passed... Was this how our story would end? "I want you to choose Alan! Choose him," my voice turned icy. "I won't share you with someone who ruins everything. My loyalty lies with him." As I stood firm, despite the palpable tension, my heart throbbed loudly, echoing in the distance. Feeling defeated, I replied, "Very well, if that's what you want. You asked for this, remember... I, Alpha Alan Crawley of the Desert Storm Pack, reject you, Claire Claver, and our child. From now on, you're no longer welcome within our pack." The pain pierced my soul. Claire Claver, who had idolized the future pack leader since her teenage years, discovered on her 18th birthday that she was destined to be with Alan Crawley. Their relationship reached new heights when he claimed her completely. But five years later, just as her Luna ceremony approached, she found him in a compromising position with his supposed cousin, Olivia. Hope seemed shattered. Little did Claire know, a powerful werewolf was drawn to her scent, searching for her. Could there still be a chance at happiness for her? Only time would tell, as the story continued.

The fact that English is a universal language is indeed common sense, partly because it is simple to learn. But in asian novels/dramas, knowing English is often treated as "godly skill" worthy of everyone's shock, praise and awe. Even if you don't know anything else, just throw a few English words with "pure British accent" (even if it's on a level of "My name is Bob") in whatever meeting and you will be treated like a "real genius". Maybe they have a hard time learning it because of language differences or smth, but knowing English is often really "overpriced" and it looks absurd. I guess just like it is common to think that "everything foreign is better", same with "foreign language is better"

Man, how is this masterpiece in rank 500??? Honestly, I think it's very underrated since technically we're reading a story within another story, but if you give it a chance it's really good, it's now one of my favorites, it's all very well written and describes things well, plus it has a lot of emotions involved, I even got lost forgetting that I was the protagonist who was rewriting his own past and I was like the cultivators, a whirlwind of emotions. 10/10 Honestly, it's much better than the brain-burning 18+ novels that are full of plot holes and every 1 to 5 chapters they make babies. I am telling my experience until chapter 127.

edit: Little brothers, I recommend you stop reading at 127, I think this 2nd arc is kind of useless and I'm reluctant to read it so I'm going to let the novel end with good and happy memories without risking too much.
