Sarah and Gerard are lovers torn apart by The Great War in Europe. Their worlds are separated and both take very different paths in the absence of the other. Gerard goes to fight while Sarah stays behind and tries to mend the pieces of her life while she waits for his return. Will they be able to pick up where they left off, or will their lives change too drastically in their time apart?
