Kronos, an orphan student, lost his eyes and ended up in the streets, then he was caught and tortured to death by a mad man.
But his story doesn't end there, he is mysteriously returned to life with nigh omnipotent powers.
As a literal God, his first plans are: plan an elaborate revenge on those who had wronged him, and find ways to entertain himself.
