The Gentle Giant

This novel is one of the few I look forward to.Most novels are very generic and while this novel is not like a whole new world, I at least want to point the focus towards the consistent quality of chapters.Up to now everything we/I read is important. I jave yet to see any fillers or something similar which is quite an achievement if you compare some novels of this type.But let's rate the novel:Writing Quality: 5 Stars-As I already mentioned the grammar and structur of even basic sentences is very good. It is not 100% but I have yet to see a novel without typos.-The basic storyline is consistent and the story doesn't get jumbled around so the story stays in an easy to understand path.Stability of Updates: 5 Stars-7 chapters per week plus bonus chapters for certain milestones-I don't think we had any chapter missing in between.Story Development: 4 Stars-Right now it's just 4 Stars but the story is still at it's starting point. Judging by the current pace its gonna be 7-10 chapters till the story really kicks off.-I'll adjust the Stars at that point.Character Design: 4 Stars-This is actually hard to decide. At this point the MC is slightly generic. On the other side I can see the potential for the future since the story has yet to fix itself onto his current behaviour-Side characters are sufficiently described and their mood and actions are well presented.-We got the normal bitchy character, stern teacher/elder type, cute jail-loli etc.-Let's see what else will appear.World Background: 4 Stars-Same as with the characters: cultivation world, god like super cultivatiors, sects and probably kingdoms-We have the “previous“ MC the super strong imprisoned dude who either died or his body is left somewhere.-Aside from that we have the normal knowledge about cultivation(dual), herbs and alchemy etc.As of now the story is normal based on the characters and story line, and otherwise we have a nice writing style and the possibility of the author making something different from the other eastern fantasy novels.I am excited for the future.

It's pretty bad, the timing of the skills in the fights is inconsistent and the plot is forced.

Hey, Author..can you continue the story.. For ME, your novel is fun and amazing.. I hope you can update more and put some more romance and action in the plot ????

So far I would say this novel has a lot of potential and is very good. I like a lot of things that the author is doing. For example the direction of the story. I also like the setting. Two bad thing I will say is that I hope for more character development for the mc. It seems he randomly just got a new trait that just didn't make sense but that could be explained in flashback if you want to do that. I am referencing about when he was saying he had no qualms about killing someone but added a justification about how he had a lot of negative karma which kind of contradicts itself. One last thing I don't like is the main characters reasoning on why he wants to ascended to higher realms. We are informed that his parents are dead and that later they may actually be alive. I have a problem with how the mc reasoning for what happened here. For example he is five years old at this time so I would expect him to be more immature in his thought process like it had been shown so far. When it was revealed his parents might be alive he kind of just shrugged it off and thought that he will go to meet them in the future. I would expect maybe some doubts instead of this. Like maybe he would think, did they abandon me or didn't want me. Maybe I am stretching a bit. Otherwise I think the novel is very good and I am enjoying it a lot. Hope for me chapters in the future. Also don't take the negatives I have said to heart I have been thinking authors would appreciate it more if I write more negatives about their novel so they could improve.

My King's new work...A unique cultivation novel with a unique style with some great funny moments.What I liked the most was the style the author wrote when writing dark moments.You may feel those dark scenes as funny. Dark and funny together at the same time. (Especially the beginning)The pace is a little slow but gets more character dev.
