It's best to take multiple reviews into consideration when deciding. But I believe the best method is to just jump in and read a couple chapters to decide whether you like it or not.
You're not reading for others, the experience is entirely your own. Just make sure it's an experience you can see yourself enjoying regardless of what others think about it.
And hey, if it turns out to be sh*t, there's nothing stopping you from dropping it once the quality drops too far for you.
