The world is a cruel place where power is everything. Johan is a young titan without a family that has to steal for a living. Though he has been raised in poverty, his ambition and determination hasn't ebbed one bit. He dreams of taking the world by storm, and reaching the pinnacle of power so he can walk through the world with his head held high, not having to worry about bowing to nobles.
As luck would have it, he discovers that he's capable of divine speech, one of the four branches of the arcane arts. He decides that this is his opportunity to find his place in the world, and applies to the Academy, a major school of the arcane arts.
Will he get accepted? Will he be able to rise from the bottom of society and tower over the wealthy and powerful? Can he adjust to the cut-throat world of magic? Follow Johan as grows from a boy to a man and travels all corners of the world in the pursuit of power.

This story may have some gruesome parts to it. Will probably have blood and broken bones at some point. It probably won't go too far, but I can't be sure yet. I'm still trying to come up with a story that takes a character from weak to OP. This is another attempt at it.
