In the vast multiverse, Earth is just a low-level planet, devoid of any immortals or gods. Samuel Haze, a music-loving high school student, has his body taken over by a weakened immortal who fled to Earth. Years pass, and after witnessing the numerous atrocities committed by the Immortal in his body, he manages to regain control for a short time. During this time, he kills himself.
Samuel awakens into a new world, one of magic, swords, fantastical beasts, and more. However, after learning that he has almost no talent for magic, he sets out to become a bard instead. Yet, Samuel has no idea just how deadly the Bardic Path truly is.

This synopsis doesn't really capture the point of the story. After I reach a certain amount of chapters and start releasing chapters on a regular basis, I'll change it myself or see if someone can do better.
