Xavier explained with a smile, "I observed a lovely custom in Klean and thought it fitting for us. In this tradition, the groom proposes by kneeling and asking, 'Will you marry me?' Mia Ainsworth, will you consent to become my wife?"
Mia, intrigued, asked, "And then what happens?"
"Well, if the future bride accepts," Xavier prompted, "she says yes."
"Very well," she playfully protested, "I'll say yes." She agreed, and he took her hand, sliding the ring onto her finger.
Rising to his feet, he embraced her and claimed her lips in a tender kiss. After they pulled apart, he rested his forehead against hers, his eyes softening. "Does the kiss also count as part of the tradition?"
"Yes, indeed," he replied, his face glowing with happiness.
Her excitement growing, she inquired further, "Alright, so what comes next?"
"We seal our commitment with a wedding ceremony," he replied, sealing their love story.
