So around the time the apocalypse for the human race was supposed to happen Lucifer suffered an unfortunate accident this caused a civil war to happen and the new king of hell waged war against heaven. And God killed himself in order to completely wipe darkness from existence. While shadows still exist pure evil will never again exist unless a fallen is born.
