Nin had the misfortune of being born into the poor colony of Rising Sun. Young and adventurous, she rebels against the conformity of colony life and a ruling class that is deceiving the colony members.
After confronting a powerful member of the leadership, she is presented with a challenge. A secret expedition, which if successful, would dramatically improve the fortunes of her home colony. However, everyone who has attempted this challenge has disappeared without a trace.
