He felt emotional hearing the news. He was heart-broken that her mother was gone. Her mother was the only one that cared for Anthony. On the other hand, he doesn't know how to feel about his father, for Anthony his father was an inspiration, his idol however he was abusive, he was always drinking and when he was drunk he would hurt him and his mother, he never really cared about how he does at school. No matter what he does doesn't matter to his father. And his last concern is when he heard about the baby with them. He felt confused as he doesn't know what to do, someone told him to decide whether to adopt the baby as his family or let the baby go to an orphanage. He wanted to see the baby first before deciding on what to do.

A lot of early info dumps and stat screens. gets better as the story goes on.Power system feels...confusing still. MC acts like he should in most cases in my opinion. world building is there. pacing I feel could be sped up slightly. 126 chapters in and it's only been 4 days. but a LOT of shit happens during that time. just.....a LOT of stat screens. truly hope he's able to hold onto his humanity to a certain degree. I also hope Micheal: 1) gets the necro heart thing, 2) ACTUALLY CULTIVATES!! but I really believe this novel is good and could be great. worth the read.

Chapters read: 36The beginning of the story felt like a twist of the Hunger Games on a larger scale, with different places and districts sending their young children. It feels like a world of survival of the fittest among mages where only those who show no mercy towards their enemies survive for long. It's definitely not a happy go lucky, magical unicorns and laughter kind of mage story.I like that Wizards, apprentices and those stepping into the wizarding world don't have to have a wand to cast spells. There are magic tools, but one's power is more innate and doesn't revolve around a wand. I enjoyed the story and binge read. Regardless of the review, do a taste test and see if the story is to your liking or not
