Jace has travelled a long way through space to find his destiny. His ambition is to become a metahuman warrior, but first he must withstand a series of tests set by the beautiful metahuman maiden Elthera, an officer on the decaying Lighthouse space station - the last bastion of Earthly habitation before the dark wilderness of space.
But forces of evil and darkness surround the station. Jace may have more than he bargained for. Can he prove himself to Elthera when they are both faced with the most dire peril of all? And can romance blossom between mentor and mentee?
