"The rebellion has brought nothing but harm to the people of Karaama." That's what most people think. Silan is one such person whose family was forced to flee from the instability the rebellion brought. Now, after finally finding a place to rebuild their lives, they see signs of the rebellion in their new home. Other survivors are quick to denounce it, including Silan's own family.
But Silan has his doubts.
Are the rebels actually fighting against the injustice of their rulers, or are they just being used by greater powers?
And where does he himself fit in the grand scheme of things?
