David just wanted to be a Mage. He didn't want or expect to become high-leveled or especially famous. He just wanted to perform magic, one of his lifelong dreams. He got his wish, but not in the way he expected. But he isn't unhappy with the result.
Such an interesting story! I kinda wanted to see more of the love story but the epilogue was sweet and happy; ang those short stories and conversations were fun. The ending makes me worry about Pei Khan, tho. Is there a 2nd installment for this? LOL
