John Doe said yes. It happens to be the first memory he has. What he said yes to, who he said it to, and what's going on are all good questions he just can't answer. Faced with a lack of memory and a character creation screen, all he can do is move forwards, into the unknown. Thus he took his first step on a path to change. A path filled with obstacles, friends, enemies, and self-enlightenment. Before the end, he'd leave his mark, for better or worse.
