"Rule #1 of getting transported to another world: Don't eat suspicious fruit lying around in the forest. ...Oops. So here I am in One Piece, where I've managed to score myself the most troublesome Devil Fruit ever - the Nexus Fruit. Now I can steal other people's Devil Fruit powers just by touching them. Sounds awesome, right? Yeah, until you realize everyone and their grandmother wants to either recruit you, dissect you, or throw you into the deepest, darkest cell in Impel Down. And don't even get me started on the headache of explaining to Marines why their captains suddenly can't use their powers. ("Sorry, my hand slipped?") But the real problem? Somehow I've caught the attention of THE Boa Hancock. You know, the Pirate Empress who's supposed to be madly in love with Luffy? Yeah, that one. Now she's looking at me the way she should be looking at him, and I have NO idea how to handle this situation. "All women are beautiful," she says, getting way too close. "Aren't you supposed to hate everyone except Luffy?" I ask. "You're... different," she replies, with that signature head-tilt that's definitely not making my heart race. Between accidentally stealing powers left and right (legally questionable, but hey, I'm technically a pirate), trying not to mess up the entire timeline, and dealing with a very affectionate Snake Princess, my hands are full. Did I mention the World Government REALLY doesn't appreciate someone running around collecting Devil Fruit powers like they're Pokemon? Oh, and I can't swim. In a world that's mostly ocean. At least watching people debate whether Luffy actually stretches or just has really long arms is still the best entertainment I've had in years. Though Hancock's reaction to my 'future knowledge' was... interesting. "You know about my future?" "Well, actually..." "Tell me everything!" "Um... would you believe me if I said I got amnesia right now?" Maybe I should have just stayed in bed that day...
