After going through a devastating breakup with the person I once loved deeply, I decided to escape my old life and seek solace in the world of humans. With no prior experience or skills to navigate their complex rules, I unexpectedly landed a job as a personal assistant to a prominent businessman. My first task was to deliver his forgotten wedding rings to an event, only to discover him, my boss, at the altar about to exchange vows with a seemingly fragile human woman who didn't compare to my own strength. Filled with heartache, I quickly fled, clutching those fateful rings in my hands. Despite his pursuit, I couldn't bear the thought of being rejected again. So, before he could reject me, I made the decision to reject him. However, instead of retreating in pain, he responded with a grin that shook me, towering over me as he declared, "And you're fired."

I noticed the book is stated ongoing so maybe you're not completely done with the epilogue. I hope to read more about Naomi in the future and  I do have a soft spot for Dale. I loved the ending btw.

It was not what I expected from the basic synopsis. Raw and intens with a lot of things happening. Oh author, how you write about a woman's thoughts and feelings..it's so true! Very original about lycans and realms and interesting side characters. Keep writing, your stories are amazing!

This was actually the first book I was reading from this talented author but I got distracted by her other book : " my alpha mate wants me back" which is my all time favorite book from this app so far. Nevertheless, this book is also very well written and original about a strong and fierce FL.
