A man approached Nina, his voice filled with admiration, "Nina, is that really you? You look stunning tonight." Offering her a drink, he continued, "Come on, have one."
However, before Nina could respond, a stern voice interjected, "She's leaving," interrupting the scene. Suddenly, Nina felt champagne spilling on her dress, causing her to gasp in shock. The stranger grabbed her roughly and pulled her towards the pool area.
Frustrated, Nina protested, "Hey! You ruined my dress!" She tried to pull away, but he held her against the wall, yelling, "Why are you here looking like a cheap date at my party?"
Hurt by his words, Nina replied, her anger rising, "I'm here for your mother. Your ugliness doesn't warrant my time. Your soul may be ugly, but it's not worth my life's moments."
Despite her anger, she couldn't budge him. He taunted, "You can hide your ugliness, but your presence taints everything around you, like a beauty with a dark heart." Pushing him forcefully, she sent him crashing into the pool, saying, "Happy Birthday."
Looking back on that night, Nina vowed never to cross paths with him again. Yet, here she was, standing before him in a church, dressed in a wedding gown, her eyes glazed over, witnessing his victorious smirk. It was a surreal moment, one she wished never to repeat.
