It's not an inferiorty complex. It's just econcomics. Say you wanted to do well in bussiness globally, or rather, you want to comunicate with others across the globe easily. Or say you just wanted to watch a lot of the media created in the West. What's language should you learn? Chinese, Spanish, French... or the lingua franca today: Englsih. There are tons of countries that were never defeated by the British that still want to learn English. Why? Because of the usability and power it holds. Just by learning English you've increase your job oppurtunities and the types of media you can consume.
