Feng Long, an average and unassuming human from earth, dies and find's himself in the throne room of Goddess. In front of other people, more skilled individuals, this Goddess offers great boons of wealth and vast troves of knowledge. For the truly excepetional she gives them a divine request to assist them on their way. For the common schmuck she 'guides' their path by choosing their class, their role, and offering quests to suit their needs.

For Feng Long?

She offers no such help or guidance. With his average body, zero magical talent, lack of martial skill, she decides just to throw him to the wolves and see what happens.

Feng Long begins his journey in a snowy forest. No suitable clothes to keep him warm. No guidance on where he should head. All his Goddess tells him is to check his status window. Which she doesn't even tell him is actually a status plate!

After nearly escaping death, stumbling upon fortune, Feng Long begins his journey in this world of magic, martial arts, danger and dragons. When he finally acquired his long anticipated class, without any help from the 'Shitty Goddess' that abadoned him, Feng Long (proudly?) declares his class: Woodcutter!

Brand new writer! Criticism welcome.

Overall this is a very enjoyable story, well written besides an error here or there, but those are ignorable, with a very interesting main character who becomes more likable over time, some interesting love interest, and a dash of mystery that’s fun to think about. I think this is a story you should definitely give a try, you might have fun with it to be sure, but make sure to read the auxiliary chapter to avoid any momentary confusion.

He couldn't remember when last his uncle had come down to supper with him and his cousins. And now that he was grown, Leo wasn't sure if his empty chair, the consistent reminder of his absence, bothered his cousins as it once did. As a person who grew up without his parents, it did bother Leo since they still had the opportunity to bond with their father where he no longer enjoyed the privilege. Their father at least owed them that much.
