Shun Lee, a withdrawn high school student with low self-esteem, has always struggled with social connections.Bored and disinterested with life, Shun found solace in anime, immersing himself deeply in it. One of his favorite series was Douluo Dalu. However, his enthusiasm for the story crumbled after the tragic deaths of Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong, two characters he deeply admired. By the time Douluo Dalu 2 and it's epilogue were released, Shun’s interest had dwindled. Though he glanced at the Douluo Dalu 2 but Shun never became fully invested again. One day, an illustration of a character from the epilogue briefly caught his attention, and Douluo Dalu 4 was announced, a flicker of curiosity resurfaced just for a moment but little did he know that his quiet life would be overturned by a certain thread the he answered for fun. Then, without a warning, everything changed. Shun suddenly found himself in another world: the world of Douluo Dalu. However, this wasn’t the familiar timeline he knew from the novel he read. To his dismay, he was thrown into the unpredictable and unfamiliar era of Douluo Dalu 3. Armed with only fragments of spoilers and little knowledge about what lay aheads, Shun realized his situation was dire and the only solace he gather that the ending of doulou dalu 3 shouldn't be bad since there will be a Doulou Dalu 4. However, his martial spirit wasn’t a sword, beast, or armor yet it was a peculiar watch martial spirit, one that shorten his ability to cultivate. Yet, unlike others who strive to grow stronger, Shun quickly comes to terms with his limitations since he has no dreams of greatness and was content to simply wander through this new life and watching the plot from the sidelines until the story reaches its conclusion. However, as Shun explores this new reality, The timeline he once knew begins to twist in unexpected ways and events diverge while characters behave differently than in the original plot he once knew. The love between Tang San and Xiao Wu stands firm, but the relationships of the other Shrek Monsters unravel, leaving them as close friends but nothing more. To make matters even more confusing, a character he swore that was supposed to be dead from the epilogue reappears in this world, her presence defying everything he remembers from the novels. Meanwhile, whispers of an eighth Shrek Monster, a figure erased from official records begins to surface. Though dismissed by historians as a mere legend, the myth of the missing monster persists and was passed down through rumors and fragmented tales. Shun is determined to avoid getting involved, keeping his distance from the main events and only hoping to watch from a first-row seat as the storyline unfolds. Yet, his presence disrupts the familiar flow of the narrative, drawing the attention of key characters and dragging him, unwillingly, into their lives. Despite his strange personality, unexpected relationships begin to form and pulling him deeper into the heart of the plot.
