Dimensional Hopping

Just a few days ago everything appeared to be as the norm. Birds chirped as people headed for work. Joy speard amongst most people as a new type of phone was recently announced. Unbeknownst to them, unnatural phenomenons started abruptly occurring across the globe—brewing like a storm underneath their noses. During the most unexpected time, monsters unveiled themselves out of thin air—wrecking havoc as they roamed the world. At the same time, the majority of humans suddenly vanished without even a single trace left—as if something had consumed them all. The few that still continued residing on earth were left to fend for themselves but it was futile for eventually, they too disappeared without a single explanation. Upon regaining their consciousness, humankind were left bewildered as they found themselves separated into multiple different worlds—each with its own dangers and laws. Dreadfully, they were forced to survive within each respective dimensions and were granted missions by a mysterious game-like interface that guided them. Rumours has it that upon completing the final mission, they would be granted the ability to return back to earth. Nevertheless it is merely a rumour and nothing has been confirmed yet. Whether it's the truth, or a mere false hope to keep them thriving for that sliver of chance of returning—they were willing to bet everything they had for a miracle. …
