In the year 2108, a spatial crack manifested and numerous beasts invaded the Earth. Chaos ensued, the power of modern weaponry insufficient to deter the beasts' rampage. Soon they engulfed the entire planet and harried frail humanity to the brink of extinction.
Prepared for the worst, a pair of wealth scientists used the peak technologies of their era to implant the full knowledge of the marvels of modern civilization inside their infant child's mind and placed him in a cryogenic stasis craft, casting him adrift into the sea of stars in search of other life in the vast cosmos.
Centuries later, the primordial currents of space instead pulled this craft back to Earth, descending as a fallen star bearing the fruit of human advancement whose seed had been planted there.
