It was dark; it was very dark for a person that has never seen anything else before. Of course, not being able to see the surroundings is something that usually makes a person to feel uncomfortable, but the child's mind was more preoccupied with something else - the awful smell that It was able to feel... the unmistakable smell of something rotting away. Did that mean it was dangerous here? Should the child try to get away? But what about those voices that seemed to be so concerned about It?
