The main character is a junior high school student as well as a popular author of ranobe for Dengeki Publication. After taking a year off from school to concentrate on his career, he transferred to a high school with a moderate attendance policy. One day, on the way home on the bullet train from the post recording session for the anime series of his work called "Vice Versa", he runs into his classmate Eri Nitadori. Eri Nitadori as it turns out, is the voice actress that voiced one of the cast of his work. In the long train ride together, he talks about the life of a ranobe author upon her request.
